Chairman of the Icelandic Kennel Club's Show Committee for many years and of the Judges Education Committee. Served on the board of the Icelandic Kennel Club, its legal committee, and its disciplinary committee. Lecturer and trainer at the kennel club's dog school for many years. Shetland Sheepdog liaison person from 2010.
Awarded the gold pin and honorary membership of the IKC in 2017.

Lilja Dóra grew up with Icelandic sheepdogs and joined the IKC in 1988. In 1991 she got her first Labrador and imported her first Sheltie from Sweden in 1998, living in Belgium at that time. She got the Undralands prefix in 1999, and Herdis joined the small kennel with her Aussies in 2015.

Herdis had a Rough collie before getting her first Australian shepherd in 2008 and in 2015 she joined Lilja Dora in Undralands kennel with her Aussies. Today, Herdis has 2 Shetland sheppdogs.
